to DONATE in support of #GivingTuesday

What if you could give a child the gift they want and need most this holiday season?

“I want a Big Brother so I have someone to play with and so I don’t have to be alone” – Tristan, age 9

Most children have a wish list of electronics or toys for the holidays, but there are others like Tristan whose greatest wish is for someone to spend time with.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Niagara (BBBSSN) provides just that – a Big Brother or Big Sister. These caring mentors provide valuable support and friendship to children and youth who need it most.

Matching a child in a BBBSSN program ignites the mentoring effect. Youth who participate in Big Brother Big Sister mentoring programs have improved academic achievement, avoid risky behaviours and lead healthier, happier lives. In fact, of Littles who have completed a Big Brother Big Sister program, 63% complete post-secondary education, 80% pursue healthy lifestyles and 87% have strong social networks.

You can provide these outcomes to a child by giving them what they need and want most – a mentor. Sponsor a match today and start something Big!

BBBSSN proudly serves over 630 youth in South Niagara each year and has been empowering each Little we work with to reach their full potential for over 47 years. It costs $1500 to support one community-based match for a year. With your support, our goal is to raise $7500, enabling us to grant 5 children with their wish for a mentor this holiday season.

“The best part of being a Little Brother was having someone to hang out with once a week. Growing up, I didn’t have very many friends. I spent a lot of time in my room alone, so having Mitch was a really great experience. It’s good to have a friend for life”.- Former Little Brother Jax, 18

Please make a gift today and help grant a child their wish.
